The children completed some amazing work for their Home Learning project for our topic of Inventors and Inventions.  Some chose to design a new pet feeding station, others completed A to Z alphabets of Inventions and others wrote a story about a neighbour’s invention.  We invited parents in to share our work and it gave us a chance to recite some of the Rap Poetry we had written with Mrs. Horwood. 

The next day we completed the book The Invention of Hugo Cabret, which the children (and staff!) have thoroughly enjoyed and we watched the film Hugo based closely on the book on the last day of the half term.  The children had recorded their thoughts, reflections and questions about the book as we went along in a specially designed Reading Journal.  The children are very keen to keep their own Reading Journal and I hope to introduce these very soon.....
