The blog for this week includes images from our Science and Art lessons.

This week, Beech Class have compared animals and discussed the structure of animals. We talked about dogs and cats as children will be familiar with these animals, and how they use their bodies to live. We linked our discussion to animals we have discussed during previous topics such as polar bears during our Spring 1 Polar Regions learning, and rainforest animals during Spring 2.

Following our discussion, the children worked in mixed groups to sort sentences describing the body parts and attributing them to the correct animal.

In Art, more children had a go at making medieval pottery using clay. This activity is proving popular! We have also finished writing poems about dragons during literacy this week, having read 'The Dragonsitter's Surprise' in class.
