Our final week of summer term!
Vegetable Soup
On Monday whilst the year 4's practised their leavers service, year 3 harvested the vegetables from the vegetable garden and then prepared vegetable soup for lunch.
We successfully grew lots of potatoes, some tiny carrots, a few onions, some spinach and a couple of beans .. (the tomatoes are still growing!) We used a few extra carrots, potatoes and courgettes, a stock cube and tinned tomatoes. Everyone had a go at chopping and slicing and we placed it in a big pan ready for cooking. Once it was done we whizzed it up and served it with bread and garlic bread (which we also made!) It was delicious!!
Goodbye Year 4's!
We also said goodbye to our year 4's and they presented a wonderful leavers service attended by family and friends!
