Happy New Year and welcome to our first blog post of 2022.

This week in maths with Mrs Austin we have been learning about multiplication and division,

and with Miss Darby our topic is fractions. 

Our topic this term is Inventors and Inventions and in literacy with Mrs Austin we had a go at describing an inventor's house. Next week we will begin to read a story called ‘The Inventions of Hugo Cabret’. The book is filled with amazing pencil drawings and in art we began to look at mastering shading. 

This week in music with Mrs Horne we have been learning to play the recorder. We have all been given a recorder to borrow so we can practise at home … It's really fun!

In reading vipers on Thursday, we watched a short film called The Shirt Machine by John Davis. We then drew our own shirt making machine. 

In PE lesson today with Ms Moore we started Country Dancing, the chain was really tricky.

Science this half term is all about sound.
