Week 12 - Teddy Bears

This week we have been learning about Teddy Bears, when and where they were first made and why they are called Teddy Bears.

We had a very successful Teddy Bear day on Tuesday and I'm very pleased to report that all the bears who came into school behaved exceptionally well, did some super learning and sat on the carpet beautifully! We also had a visit from two old bears, one who is 85 years old and the other the same age as Ms Braidwood.

The children have been learning the story of Old Bear by Jane Hissey and have written letters to Old Bear, explaining how they are going to come and rescue him. They then copied out their letters in their best handwriting to go on a display in the library.

We are also hard at work learning our nativity play, please do keep practicing lines at home if you have them. Some children will have a note home this week with regards to costumes and items they need to bring in. If your child does not have a note it is because we have a full costume for them at school. If you have any questions please do just ask.
