Week 7
We have started our new topic of Eco, Recycling and the Environment and so have started by looking at Trees. We started the week with a large tree craft activity which showed children using their turn taking skills alongside their painting and printing skills. As well as painting and decorating our large tree the children learnt about all the different parts of trees which, using this knowledge to help label our very own tree. The Blossom children have also been busy using the playdough to create their own woods with a range of different smelling herbs, sticks and bark. We have been working on our maths skills by matching numeral to quantity and using language relating to capacity when exploring the rice tuff tray and water wall. We ended the week creating our Plastic Paradiso sea creatures in preparation for our workshop in a few weeks.
