Week 7

Our focus this week has been on information texts and how to research an animal of choice. The children have had the opportunity to use the tablets and computers to go online on the natgeokids.com website and easyscienceforkids.com. They have also been using non fiction books from the library  to research information. Working with their chatty chums they have found out lots of fascinating facts which we will use next week to create our own class information book.

The children's aboriginal dot paintings are now finished and hanging in the classroom. They have also created maps of the school this week and written an acrostic poem about kindness during RE.

We have not been able to do outdoor learning for the last few weeks due to the very wet weather and six or seven children not having their wellie boots. Please can ALL children have their wellie boots in school every Monday for outdoor learning as we do like to get outside as much as possible. Ideally these will be left in school in our boot box.

I look forward to seeing you all at our parent teacher consultations next week.
