Week 11 - Science
The children all worked hard on their independent diary write this week. They had to imagine they were an ocean explorer and describe what they might have seen and done during their day. Lots of them discovered new species, found ship wrecks and played with dolphins! They produced some great descriptive writing, written in the past tense and telling the reader how they felt.
We have also finished our clay sea creatures and sewn felt fish ........ pictures next week I hope.
In science we carried out a floating and sinking experiment, the children decided which objects they would try and then predicted whether they would float or sink. We then returned the classroom to see how good the predictions were.
