Week Beginning Monday 1st June

Hello Sharks Class!

We hope you are all well and have had a lovely, sunny week with your families! Hasn't it been beautiful weather! Hopefully you have all enjoyed a rest from Home Learning and are ready to start a fresh new half term with the fantastic enthusiasm that we saw from you last half term. We are very sad that we still can't invite you back to school and are missing you all very much but have been working hard to plan a brand new topic for the next half term that we hope you will all enjoy! We are really looking forward to seeing all the learning that you get up to at home, please do keep those emails coming!

Our new topic is 'Endangered Animals' and will focus on finding out about the animals around the world, that are in danger of becoming extinct. You will be able to choose your own animal to become an expert about and think about ways to save it from extinction..... We hope it will be a topic that you can really get your teeth into!

Remember, as well as the work we are setting for you there are lots of online resources that you can access. One that many of you have told us you have been enjoying is the BBC Bitesize Daily Lessons. These will be continuing next half term, why not give them a try?!

Also the Oak National Academy Website has been especially set up to support Home Learning during the school closure. Have a look at the Activity Club section of the website for some interesting learning ideas.

Finally, I'm sure those Harry Potter fans among you will be excited to hear that JK Rowling is releasing her new book 'The Ickabog' chapter by chapter, online for everyone to enjoy for free! Here is the link to the new website! https://www.theickabog.com/ Enjoy!

Please do send us an email if you have any questions at all,

Take care and enjoy your learning,

Mrs Austin and Miss Darby
