WEEK 5
Our story of the week this week has been 'The snail and the whale'. The children have had a go at making their own snails out of paper. We have had fun painting our hands to print hermit crabs.
We have been using numicon in maths this week to fill in snail patterns which proved very popular!
The children were keen to spend lots of time outdoors this week where we have been snail mark making using chalks on black paper, cork painting whales, building sand castles and other exciting activities.
One of the highlights this week for the children has been the new outdoor guttering. The children have had a super time using jugs and watering cans to pour water down the guttering - watching and waiting excitedly to see where the water would end up! The children were happy to explore the nature trail and search for snails and other interesting things which we collected as a group!
