The Governors of Winterbourne Valley CE VA First School are seeking to appoint a Headteacher to start in January 2018.


Winterbourne Valley CE VA First School  is a small rural village School for children aged 4 – 9 years, with 64 pupils on roll.  The School is set in the beautiful village of Winterbourne Abbas.  It is a Church of England, Voluntary Aided School with strong links to the church and the church community.  This close knit nature is reflected in the school with our children knowing the values that we have.  Our living and learning values are :


Caring, Co-operative, Communicative, Courteous, Considerate, Conscientious and Confident  - linked to Gallatians 5:22-23 where the Fruits of the Spirit are revealed.

Our school is open, friendly and successful, held in high esteem by parents, and well regarded and popular within the local community.


We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic headteacher, able to start in January 2018, with experience of successful school leadership in a senior role, proven teaching experience in the primary phase, and strongly supportive of a collaborative ethos within the school.
