WEEK 2

The children have had another busy week with lots of activities both inside and out. We had our first outdoor learning session on Thursday afternoon when we listened to the book 'Funny Bones' and then made a Seahorse class skeleton on the field. The children made lots of mud pies and cakes with mud, water, grass and weeds and then baked them in the oven. We also explored the wildlife garden where the children were asked to observe the plants and trees and talk about what they look like now, so that we can compare it to when we go out over the autumnal months. *Please do provide your child with wellies and waterproof clothing on Thursdays for our outdoor learning sessions, they do get wet & muddy, even in this lovely weather!

The Children have continued talking and learning about themselves and in our monthly writing activity, they have all drawn pictures of their family. We have begun to paint self-portraits and our funny bones, skeleton hand prints, photos to follow..........

They have also been taking part in other activities such as - Numicon & pegs, pegs & peg boards, magnetic shape pictures, cutting & sticking, tracing, mark making, castle & farm small world, trains, waffle bricks, minibeasts, sand & water play.
