Wk 8 Celebrations
Celebrations
This week we started our topic of celebrations. The children enjoyed playing with the lentils and pasta in the tuff tray. They sorted into piles, scooping up the lentils using scoops and spreading lentils with their hands. A lot of pleasure was also gained using the dustpan and brush to sweep up the floor.
Anticipating the children visiting/hearing fireworks at the weekend we made edible Firework Sparklers. Dipping breadsticks into melted chocolate and covering it with hundreds and thousands the children waited for it to harden before eating them at snack time.
On Thursday Mary from Dorchester Library came to visit and read two stories. The children sat beautifully listening to ‘Homer the Library Cat' and 'The Bumble Bear'.
