WB 23.03.2020.

Over the coming weeks I will be posting messages and Home Learning Grids on 'Tapestry', to support you with some ideas for both literacy and maths activities for the children to complete, which will be loosely based on our topic of 'Magical Minibeasts'. This week's focus book would have been 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.

I have chosen to post on Tapestry to allow you to view everything in one place, to record observations of home learning and also because we have been experiencing technical difficulties on the school blog. From Wednesday of this week, you will receive a daily notifications to inform if you of any messages, information or activities that have been posted. Tapestry have added additional functions to support us during the current events, so please use this platform to help us to support you all as best we can. We look forward to seeing any work that you have been completing at home and I will comment and link these to the areas of learning and development within the Early Years Foundation Stage. If you do need any additional support, please message me through Tapestry and I will respond as soon as possible.

In addition to this, the children were sent home with the following in their packs to support their home learning -

*Whiteboard, pen, rubber & glue stick

*Reading books

*Home Learning book

*Maths & literacy activity sheets

*Ideas for outdoor learning

*A list of free online resources

Most importantly during these uncertain times, please do make the most of this unexpected time together with your families and make time to read, talk and play together, both inside and outdoors where safe to do so.

We look forward to sharing the children's Home Learning books when we return to school and hope that you all stay safe and healthy!

Best wishes from Mrs Rogers and Mrs Hallett.
