Week 5

PCSO Sarah Pilcher visited us today. We discussed what the police use to help them do their job. Police dogs, helicopter, horses, motorbikes.
We found out about the equipment a police officer carries, a body camera to record, a walkie talkie for communication, we even spoke to the control centre!, a torch, gloves to keep them safe, mobile phone, pocket notebook.

We went outside to see the police car, we heard the sirens and sat inside. We were told about the things that are kept in the boot such as a spade, broom, yellow tape, signs, lights, fire extinguisher and cones

The children were keen to ask lots of questions and comment on discussions.

*Don't forget our Superhero Day next Tuesday, 6th February. The children are invited to come into school wearing a Superhero or People That Help Us costume if they would like to.
