Week 5 - Understanding of the World (Outdoor Learning & Harvest Festival)
This week we have been learning about Harvest Festival in the Foundation Base, both in class & in Collective Worship. Activities that the children have taken part in are - a welly walk to collect autumnal leaves to make their crowns, singing & creating actions to our Harvest Festival song, looking at fruit & vegetables & then using them to create repeating patterns & then ending the week by taking part in our whole school Harvest Festival celebrations.
In Outdoor Learning with Mrs. Thompson, the children were asked to walk around the Wildlife Garden & find natural objects to match their colour charts. They also practised length by collecting twigs & then putting them in order from the smallest to largest.
