Our story this week has been 'Handa's Surprise'. The children have enjoyed exploring, tasting and paint printing the delicious fruits that Handa had put into her basket. Our tuff tray this week has been based on Handa's surprise story where the children have been story sequencing - matching the animals to the fruit that they had taken.

The children were keen to have a go at hammering golf tees into a pumpkin (this encourages the development of hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills) We then cut the top off the pumpkin and the children used spoons to scoop out the flesh and seeds.

As a maths activity, the children have been collecting sticks then ordering them by size. The children have also enjoyed getting creative and making arrangements with natural objects in playdough.
