5.7.19 Transfer Day and Recorder Concert

Thursday 4th July was transfer day, our current year 3's were joined by our current year 2's and they spent the morning with their new teacher Mrs Austin whom will be Sharks class new teacher along with Mrs Darby. They spent the morning thinking about how the class might be come September. They also had fun with pastles, thinking and drawing what animal they might be and why. In the afternoon year 3's spent the afternoon playing quick cricket with Mrs Darby.

Our year 4's were out all day at their new middle schools Dorchester Middle or St Osmunds, the reports from the children were very positive and all are looking forward to their new adventures in September!

On Friday 5th July, Sharks class showed off their recorder playing skills to family and friends in the school hall. Over the summer term we have welcomed Mrs Trevorrow into the school every friday to teach us how to play the recorder. We have learnt notes B, A, G, C, and D, learnt lots of new pieces of music, learnt to read music and even composed our own piece.

Well done to all the Sharks class who gave a wonderful performance!!

On Friday the year 4's went to Thomas Hardye School to the DASP Literacy Festival.
