Week 6

It is a wet and windy end to another week in Beech Class. The darker evenings are upon us as we approach our final week before half term.

The children have been working incredibly hard in their phonics lessons, learning the component knowledge taught through the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds resource. The children have used their phonic knowledge in writing lessons and written recounts of their weekend.

In maths, both year groups have moved on from place value and will now focus on addition and subtraction. Year One have been working on number sentences and number bonds. Year Two ended the week working on related facts. We will continue with this next week.

In Art, we will be adding expression to characters to help us tell stories.

Have a good weekend!
