Week 2
In maths this week we have been learning about squares and rectangles, shapes with four sides. The children have practised identifying each shape and grouping them, talking about their characteristics and taking part in lots of activities to support their knowledge of these shapes. In their weekly maths activity, the children demonstrated their skills in manipulating and rotating shapes, developing their spatial reasoning skills by creating a square & rectangle Superhero. This activity also demonstrated the progress that the children have made in their fine motor & scissor skills.
