Week 11
During maths this week year 2 have been learning about time. They need to be able to tell the time to 5 minute intervals so please do practise with them at home as much as you can. Year 1s have been focusing on place value and partitioning numbers.
We have done some extended writing during literacy and written an information text about rainforests. This includes headings and the means the children had to think about which information needed to be included under which heading. They have worked hard to create some interesting writing.
In our science last week we each chose one animal that lives in our wildlife area and thought about why it lives there, what it eats, how it protects itself and what would happen if its needs were not met.
The highlight of our week was our Mothers Day service at St Marys church. The children performed their poem brilliantly, speaking clearly and remembering all the words. Well done Dolphin Class! Thank you PTFA for the gorgeous flowers, they looked lovely.
