Week 3

What a great week we have had! On Tuesday we had an incredible time visiting the Space Dome and learning all about the work of astronauts, past and present. We entered the International Space Station with Tim Peake and went on a voyage with him up into space! We leaned about the size and positions of the planets and stars in our solar system and found out about the different stages of the moon and the constellations of the stars. The children were fantastic at asking questions and learned so much during our visit!
As part of this terms topic, we have been learning about the interventions of Leonardo DaVinci. This week we  designed our own parachutes based on his original design. We tested them in the front playground to see if they would fall to the ground slowly and gently. Some were more successful than others!!
