This week in our topic maths the children have been learning about shapes. The year 1's have been focusing on 2D shapes and have been walking around the school taking photographs of shapes. The year 2's have been revising 2D shapes and talking about the properties of these shapes. They have enjoyed playing shape games in the playground with Mrs Darby. The year 2's have also been learning about 3D shapes.

Our literacy work has been linked to our topic work. We have been learning about sharks and finding out as many facts as we can through non-fiction books, power points and the internet.  The children have amazed me with their memory skills and have remembered lots of facts to write in their literacy books.

In art the children have made clay fish with sequin scales which look beautiful. They have also made sea pictures on the computer using the paint program.
