On Tuesday Kirsten Juniper from the Dorset Waste Partnership came to do a special assembly about how to reduce, reuse and recycle. She showed us lots of items made from reused materials, like the hat Charlie is wearing made of 5 recycled plastic bottle, a pencil case made from juice cartons, a notebook made from elephant dung and coasters made from old wellie boots.
She then helped judge our 'don't drop litter' poster competition. The entries were all bright and colourful and it was hard to decide on a winner. Oakley's was finally chosen as the winner, but a big well done and thank you to all the other chidlren who took part. Your posters will all be laminated and placed strategically around the school to remind everyone not to drop their litter.
