The children in Beech Class have continued their work on place value in Mathematics this week. Year Two children have been using place value charts and partitioning numbers to 100. We will do more work on partitioning next week. Year One have been representing objects and recognising numbers as words.

We have introduced more singing to our daily routines. The children have enjoyed participating in class and learning about pulse.

In Geography, we have used Google Earth to view our world and locate the United Kingdom. We have located Winterbourne Abbas and learned about what an aerial view is. Using aerial photographs, we looked at the Winterbourne Abbas and identified some key features of the school and village. 

The children have worked very hard this week and earned their weekend. We look forward to seeing them again on Monday.
