Week 12

Our final week has seen us rounding off our Knights and Castles topic before the summer break. The children have sewn wallets and purses to keep their gold and jewels safe and created decorated manuscripts of our dragon song.  In maths learning has continued with multiplication, division and numberbonds.  We have found some time to relax a bit and play board games as well as have a whole school picnic on the field to celebrate Mrs Bursons work at the school before she retires.

Tomorrow is our final day and I will be sending home a letter with some holiday homework for the children to do. It would be great if following on from our special assembly last Friday by Dorchester Library the children could join the summer reading challenge to read at least six books.

Thank you all for your support with your children's learning over the year. It has been a fabulous group to work with and I'm looking forward to seeing the year 1s as year 2s in September and wish the current year 2s lots of luck with their move to year 3. They are all ready for the challenges of the next year!

Enjoy the summer.
