Wk 7 Hurricane Ophelia

The children showed curiosity  in the unusual reddish sky and red-looking sun that appeared Monday morning due to  remnants of Hurricane Ophelia dragging in tropical air and dust from the Sahara. The phenomenon witnessed by the whole school caused comments on how dark it was and that it was time to go to bed. When the wind started we tried to catch the leaves blowing off the trees.

During circle time we used the bed from the doctors role play to act out 10 in a bed. The children enjoyed rolling out of bed when it was their turn.

Another wet day on Thursday morning found us in the hall using the tunnels. A good game of finding shapes and naming colours helped the childrens physical skills and mathematical development.
