Lachlan brought in his book 'Humphrey's Jungle Adventure'. After reading the story we acted it out, collecting the animals and props. The children enjoyed drinking pineapple juice and eating animal biscuits like Humphrey and George did in the story. Leading on from this the children used the flowers and plant pots in their role play.

The children showed an interest in number problems when we played with the elephants, sorting, making circles and counting them.

We finished off the week playing on the field and in the tree as everyone had remembered to bring in their willies (except Sharon).

Next Wednesday the Starfish have the opportunity to take part in P.E. with Mrs Moore.
