Week 5 - Maths
In maths this week we have been revisiting time, focusing on how to read & record the time showing on an analogue clock. We initially recapped '0' clock and half past the hour and then introduced quarter past & quarter to the hour. The children have used many different types of clocks, worksheets, ICT & puzzles to support their learning & understanding.
At the end of the week we learnt a song about the months of the year & ordered the month flashcards from January to December, whilst singing the song to remind us of the correct order. The month cards were then laid out on the carpet & the children identified their birth month, then stood on the correct cards. The children knew that there are twelve months in a year.
After this, we looked at which three months fall into each of the four Seasons.
