Wk 12 Arrival of winter
Winter arrived this week
A winter scene in the sand tray proved a very popular activity this week. Salt, gems, glass pebbles, and artic animals helped set the scene for some brilliant imaginative play. Helping children to understand aspects of the natural world, living things and their habitats the children developed essential skills
To develop their fine physical skills the children used tongs and fingers to pick up peas and place into holes.
Thursday afternoon the children made a christingle with Rev Jean and the PTFA members. The orange represents the world, the ribbon represents Jesus’ love, the sweets the children put on the christingle represent all that is provided by God, and the candle represents the light provided for us by Jesus.
