Week 5
This week the children have enjoyed listening to the story of the bad tempered ladybird. We added characters and props to the tuff tray which the children enjoyed using to re enact the story.
In maths the children have been matching quantities by adding glass bead 'spots' to ladybirds. The children are showing keen interest in numbers at the moment and have been writing numbers independently, tracing numbers and completing number puzzles.
Our herb garden is growing nicely and children have been keen to discover and smell the various herbs - sage, thyme, lavender and others. The children have had a super time this week making their own potions using herbs which they'd cut themselves, adding water, various bowls/saucepans and spoons.
