Salt dough models 25.04.16
Miss Forbes helped the children to use their manipulative/motor skills to make salt dough. Exploring the dough the children pushed, pulled, squeezed, bent, twisted, squashed and flattened the dough to make models.
Building a barrier for the children to ride through, and giving a ticket to Annie each time, the children co-operated, took turns and initiated role play. Some children used boxes and blankets to make a home for Peppa Pig.
Back to our topic 'Farmer Duck' the children sorted the animals into different categories e.g. (cows, pigs, sheep, flying), encouraging their mathematical development.
