On Tuesday the children had a fabulous visit to the Space Dome. They learned a lot about space travel, the lives of astronauts and more facts about our Solar System. Although it is not our topic for this half term, there is certainly a link with our learning about Inventors and Inventions.

 

We’ve also continued with the gripping story of The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Towards the end of Chapter 6 on Friday afternoon, it seemed like we would leave Hugo in a very sad state, but Hugo then received a note which said his precious notebook had not been burned. Phew! It was amazing to watch the smiles return to the children’s faces as I read this section to them. Next week the story continues…..
