Week 3
In RE we listened to a Muslim story called Bilal and the Butterfly. We learnt about a boy called Bilal who goes to stay with his Grandfather and plays in his garden. Whilst in the garden, he hears someone talking to him and he realises it is a beautiful butterfly. The butterfly explains to Bilal that Allah (their God) created all of the beautiful things in the garden and that he used to be a caterpillar, then he built a cocoon and then became a butterfly. We l had a look at our own caterpillars & discussed their life cycle & what we need to do to help them grow into healthy butterflies, that we will release in the Wildlife Garden. The children also enjoyed making their own symmetrical butterflies to hang in our minibeast role play.
