The children have settled back into the routines of school well and now all know our basic timetable and routines.

We have started our Carnival of the Animals topic, listening to the music and learning a little bit about the composer Camille Saint-Saen. They have talked about the dynamics of the music and are starting to recognise the different sections for each animal. 

This afternoon we have had some library time. (This will happen every other week.) Your child has bought home a non-fiction library book today to share with you and we will change these in a fortnights time. Please do take some time to look at it together. 

In science we have used our time outside to start learning the names of common plants and animals. If you are out and about at the weekend why not see what birds, animals and plants you can find and name.
