Week 6
This week we have been learning all about pirates! Our new topic book has been ‘The Night Pirates’ so the Blossom’s have been busy doings lots of pirate themed activities. We started the week by creating our very own pirate hats which the children made using a range of different pirate pictures which they stuck onto their hats. They also practised their name writing skills by writing their names on the front of their hats to know whose hat was whose!
To continue our pirate theme, we had our very own pirate day! Here the children were encouraged to dress up as pirates and go on our own treasure hunt around the field looking high and low for the treasure! The Blossom children also had a go at walking the plank!
The Blossom children enjoyed all the different tuff trays set out for them throughout the week, their favourite being pirate potions, which they made using flowers and coloured water.
