Wk 11 Summer Fayre
After the schools successful fete the Pre-School decided to hold their own. We decorated the field with bunting, held a tea party with cakes and ice cream, designed posters to advertise the event and constructed a pirate ship to transport us there. All of this learning links to Understanding of the world development: People and communities. The child recognises and describes special times or events for family and friends, and Remembers and talks about significant events in their own experience.
A blip in the weather saw us making use of the library area. Lego proved to be very popular as children made models, and at the art table children created beautiful pictures with glue and materials.
Early in the morning during the coolest part of the day we practiced our sports day. The children enjoyed running up the track and being cheered on by their friends.
