Week 6
This week we started off as Superheroes - everybody looked amazing and we all had a great day. We completed kryptonite challenges, obstacle courses, superhero dress up and role play, masks, biscuit decorating, cuff making and split pin superheroes of us. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and worked extremely well collaboratively.
We also learned about Internet Safety and how to stay safe online - we used our loud, clear voices to share our ideas in Collective worship. We learned about 'Artificial Intelligence' and were amazed that in the future we will have driver-less cars! We spoke about the importance of asking our trusted adults if ever we are unsure about anything online.
We produced some detailed observations of fruit and thought about how to use our pencils in different ways to create texture. We challenged ourselves by drawing 'blind' - we used a cardboard square to hide our drawing and that meant that our sense of vision was heightened. Our drawings were very accurate.
Year 1 are becoming confident in working out missing number problems and Year 2 have been understanding odd and even numbers. In Literacy, Mrs Beale was super impressed to see us using our phonics knowledge or spelling rules to produce our writing.
Have an amazing half term - enjoy the rest!
