Blog Week 12

This week we have to ask you first about what your elves have been doing, is your Christmas tree up?

 

But apart from that we’ll get straight into telling you what the children have been up to.

 

In literacy with Mrs Austin we have been typing up our newspaper reports. Most people, if not everyone has got onto around paragraph 3 or 4. We will add pictures to our newspaper reports soon.

 

With Miss Darby, we have watched “Kevin the Carrot”, the Aldi Christmas advert for 2018 (Miss Darby accidentally played the new one for 2020 first time around!) Here is the link in case you want to use it for your homework:

In maths with Mrs Austin we have been column subtracting with one or two exchanges, that’s the same with yr 3s and 4s.

 

Miss Darby has done Time (not the prison time!) and 5 and 7 times tables, she did it by making a fun game called ping pong.

 

Singing practise for our carol service has been very fun! Everyone in the class has nailed ‘Good King Wenceslas’, and Daisy is doing a solo in the song ‘Silent Night’. Mollie and me (That means Jacob), are doing a solo in the song ‘Go Tell It on The Mountain.’ Also Evie and Molly are doing a duo in the same song. As well as that, George, Cameron and Paddy are doing a trio in the song ‘We Three Kings.’
