Christingle Celebrations 05.12.16
Last Friday the children joined in with the Christingle celebrations. They decorated oranges with red ribbon, sweets and a candle. The children learnt that the orange represents the world, the red ribbon symbolises the love and blood of Christ. The sweets and dried fruit represents all of God's creations. The lit candle represents Jesus's light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.
Dressing up as animals the children took part in the Nativity play 'Prickly Hay'. Walking in and sitting in front of all those parents/grandparents the children were very brave and most of them seemed to enjoy it.
Activities this week included feeding Rudolph (developing their fine physical skills) and the Christmas themed tuff tray (allowing the children to use their imagination).
