Mosaics and Maths 16.11.16
Last week the children began to look at Roman mosaics as part of our Art work. They produced some lovely work in their sketch books, a few of which are shown in the photos. In Maths, all the children have been using apparatus (Dienes) to gain a firm understanding of place value in multiplication and division. I am hoping they will have a secure grasp of these operations by using apparatus before being taught mor formal methods.
