Week 3
The children have been working hard again this week. Year 1 have been working on Place Value in their maths lessons. They will now move onto Addition and Subtraction. Year 2 have been learning about money. They have now moved onto the early stages of learning about Multiplication and Division. Both year groups will continue with these areas of work through to half term. Some practical examples of maths work accompany our blog this week.
We have continued our work on the Polar Regions and the children have proudly been finishing some Polar landscapes using pastels and paints in Art. We also learned about Inuit communities and the explorer, Robert Falcon Scott. Next week we will be working on poetry and riddles.
I will close for this week by thanking all the children for their hard work and for the lovely homework Year 2 have been bringing in. Keep up the good work. But first, enjoy a restful weekend!
