Week 12
This week our topic book has been 'The Snail And The Whale'. The children have enjoyed lots of underwater based activities such as painting our large whale using sand paint to give it a different texture alongside having lots of fun playing with our small world Snail and The Whale tuff tray with coloured paper, sand and stones! As well as underwater themed activities the children have loved having Easter themed activities which have been matching numbers to the correct amount of chicks and decorating Easter eggs using paints and crayons. Blossom children have also enjoyed their 'Gruffalo Day' which they did alongside Cherry Class. using clay to create characters from the Gruffalo, watercolour painting of Gruffalo's, finger puppet making, colouring, Gruffalo bingo and puzzles, building homes for the characters using lego and duplo and they finished of the morning with a hunt to find the Gruffalo, who was hiding up in the tree!
Blossom children have also been learning their new sound of the week 'C'.
