Autumn tuff tray 17.10.16

Our Autumn tuff tray went down a treat with the children. Offering a variety of colour, size, texture and weight the children used a wide range of mathematical language e.g. small, big, heav, little, and more than to describe the vegetables. Adding fairies and keys to the tray the children used their imagination to create stories and scenes. Developing fine motor skills we finished off hammering golf tees into the vegetables.

Providing a large piece of paper and stencils the children enjoyed drawing and making marks. Some children then went on to cutting their pictures out.

At circle time the children enjoyed playing the blanket game. All the children curled up on the floor pretending to go to sleep. After I had covered a child over with a blanket the children had to guess who was under it.

Have a lovely half term.
