WEEK 8
Our focus story this week in literacy has been 'Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type'. We have talked about how we could introduce different endings to our story and the children thought of some lovely ideas. We also thought about different farm animals that could be part of the story and what they might request in the letters that they type to Farmer Brown. The children were all able to independently order the events and characters from the story, on their story map activity.
During maths we have been using simple addition, learning methods to help us calculate the answer and how to record our addition number sentences. We have been using farm animals in two groups to add altogether and Numicon plates to count the holes, to find the total number.
In ICT the children have chosen their favorite things that they saw on our visit to the farm, then skillfully used the computers and mouse to draw their pictures. They were able to change the size of the painting tools and also change the colours to those appropriate for their pictures.
We wish you all a happy and restful holiday and look forward to seeing you all in November!
