Week 9

In RE this week we have been thinking about spring & new life. We discussed some the things that might start to appear at this time of year such as - buds, daffodils, crocus, snow drops, blossom, nests in the trees, minibeasts & baby animals. We then went on a walk around the school grounds to see which signs of spring we could find & took some photos for our RE Journal.

When we returned to the classroom we played a matching pairs game, where the children had to match their baby animal to the correct adult & talked about each of their names. The children knew the majority of the names for the young animals, but we learnt a few new ones such as - hoglet, gosling, cygnet, fawn & kid.

*Please note - Red Nose Day is on Friday 18th, March. See school newsletter for further details.
