Week 14

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We have had a fantastic end of the half term - which has seen the children perform their 'It's a baby!' Nativity - weren't they amazing! They all learnt their words, lines, acting and singing and were true form SUPERSTARS!

We have also enjoyed our Christmas lunch this week (see below) and finished our topic on shape/symmetry in maths. We rounded off our Great Fire of London topic by discussing how fire safety has improved since 1666 and even practised with a 'Winterbourne Valley Fire Drill'! The children showed how they understand the importance of staying quiet and lining up to be head counted.

In science, we learned about Charles Macintosh and created our own rain hats to go with his invention of the rain macs. They were wonderful and suited to the job! Well done children!

Myself, Mrs Reeves and Mrs Green would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE THANKYOU for all of our lovely cards and gifts - they were very much appreciated. Have a well-deserved restful break and I very much looking forward to seeing you all in 2024.

Merry Christmas

Mrs Beale
