week 6
On Monday afternoon we went to the DASP reception dance festival at Dorchester Middle School The children performed their Giant dance from Jack and the Beanstalk in front of the three other schools that were there. We then watched the other children perform. All the children participated and it was lovely to see their confidence. Well done Seahorses.
Our story this week has been The Three Little Pigs and the children have retold this story using puppets. They were so enthusiastic that they decided to perform it for our exposure on Wednesday afternoon. I hope those of you who made it enjoyed it. It was lovely to see so many parents attend our afternoon exposure and the children really do enjoy sharing their learning with you.
During our outdoor activities this afternoon the children had a go at building bridges and houses for the pigs and goats and they were very creative using natural materials and working in groups. Several children turned into the Big Bad Wolf and we had a Troll or two as well.
All the Learning Journeys have now been sent home. Please share these with your child and if you would like to add anything you can. They need to be back in school on Monday 19th Februrary, as soon as we return from half term.
