The sun is shining and and Silver Birch class have been busy painting sunflowers! We have been looking at the artist Vincent Van Gogh and used his Sunflowers painting to inspire our own artwork. The children were able to choose their own colours to paint the background and than created beautiful 3D sunflowers out of yellow card. I hope you will agree, the outcome is rather spectacular and Silver Birch class very much enjoyed producing their pieces of artwork. Some of these will be displayed in the school foyer while the rest will brighten up the classroom.
Red Nose Day was a great opportunity to wear non uniform to school, but it also has a serious side. The children watched a few short videos of where the money raised will be spent, followed by class discussion. It really is such a worthy cause and we thank you all for your donations.
Enjoy the pictures below and the sunshine this weekend!
