Week 5 - The Queen's Jubilee
This week we have had a big focus on The Queen's Jubilee, in preparation for all of the celebrations that will be taking place next week. The children have been learning about Queen Elizabeth, what a Jubilee is, why & how we will be celebrating it in school, at home, in the UK & around the world in the commonwealth countries.
There have been lots of activities based on the Jubilee & the Queen for the children to take part in such as fine motor colouring, cutting & sticking crowns, colouring Union flags for our bunting & threading it on to the wool ready to hang up, writing about how to make Jubilee cupcakes, placing the gems on the crowns using tweezers, making crowns & cakes for our Jubilee tea party on Friday afternoon.
